Although accidents happen, here are some general tips for avoiding dental emergencies.
- Come and visit us regularly for your dental check-up and clean.
- Be consistent with your oral hygiene routine – floss once and brush twice daily.
- Be aware of changes or niggles in your mouth. Don’t ignore loose fillings, chipped or cracked teeth and fillings, swelling, signs of infection, or pain and discomfort. Don’t put treatment off until a toothache begins: it’s better (and often costs less) to make an appointment with your dentist sooner rather than later.
- Protect your teeth with sports mouthguards during games and training.
